looking for affordable cohousing in CA

have traveled the country visiting intentional communities, coops, collectives, and cohousing. am looking for below market rate affordable housing in san francisco or bay area. all the cohousing sites that have openings that i've found are way above $200,000. what's a single mother of 3 with a community organizer salary to do?
